My journey towards health and wellness officially started in high school. That was when my mother joined a popular weight loss program for the first time. And I tried to follow along with her. I had been struggling with excess weight since elementary school. Little did I know that would be the first in a long line of diets. I feel as if I've tried every one out there. Or at least a lot of them.
And each time it was the same. I'd lose some weight. Sometimes I'd reach my "goal" weight. But then eventually, I'd gain the weight back. Sometimes more than I had lost. This cycle of yo-yo dieting wreaked havoc on both my body and my self-esteem. And unfortunately, the older I get, the harder it has become to continue this cycle.
I'm now in my 40s. I'm married and have children. I have a full time job outside the home. All these complicated diet plans and exercise regimens had become too hard to sustain. I was miserable when I seemingly had it all. I knew there was something missing. I knew there had to be a better way.
And that's when I found my answer. I discovered the concept of Health Coaching and knew this was my direction. I discovered the concepts of Primary Foods and Secondary Foods and knew I'd found the solution. I'm finding my true self one step at a time. I'm becoming a better wife. A better mommy. A better me. The me I'm meant to be. And I want to share what I'm learning with everyone. So you can feel as wonderful as I do.
